Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process personal data exclusively on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

Hosting and server logs

When you visit this website, our server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page accessed, user agent) in log files. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are retained only for a short period.

Contact and enquiry forms

If you use our forms (contact, participation enquiry), we process the data you enter solely to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). Enquiries are delivered to us by email and are not stored permanently in the website database.

Membership applications

We process membership applications to review and handle admission (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Rejected applications are deleted automatically after 90 days; upon admission, the details become part of our membership records.

Newsletter

Subscription uses a double opt-in process: your email address is only stored after you confirm via the link sent to you (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in every issue.

Cookies and consent

By default, this website is cookie-free. Optional categories (e.g. external maps or videos) are only loaded after you give your consent; your choice is stored locally in your browser and can be changed at any time via "Cookie settings" in the page footer.

External content

Embedded third-party content (e.g. map services, videos) is only loaded after you give your consent. Your IP address may be transmitted to the respective provider; that provider's privacy policy applies.

Protection against automated requests

To protect our forms, we use Cloudflare Turnstile (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). In doing so, Cloudflare, Inc. processes technical connection data (including IP address) to distinguish humans from bots. Further information: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Audience measurement

We use self-hosted, cookieless statistics that do not create user profiles and do not permanently store IP addresses (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Error logging

Technical errors on the website are logged in a self-hosted system to ensure reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No data is passed on to third parties.

Recipients and processors

Emails (e.g. form notifications, newsletters) are sent via Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.). Where required, data processing agreements are in place with service providers.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To do so, please contact post@lokalkraft.at. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
